Lillibridge honored with two TOBY Awards for property management
MOBS IN ATLANTA AND CELEBRATION, FLA., ARE AWARDED FOR EXCELLENCE
CHICAGO IL, Mar-18, 2009 – Chicago-based Lillibridge has received "The Office Building of the Year" (TOBY) Awards from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) for excellence in property management for two medical office buildings (MOBs).
The first of the two award-winning MOBs is the Doctors Center at Saint Joseph's Hospital which Lillibridge owns and manages. This Atlanta MOB complex consists of three buildings that are connected by an open atrium, with a total of 350,800 square feet. Two of the facilities are three stories, and the third is nine stories. The buildings range from 18 to 30 years of age.
Lillibridge provides property management services for the second TOBY Award winner, the Celebration Health Medical Plaza, which is owned by Seavest Inc. This four-story facility in Celebration, Fla., was built by Lillibridge in 2006 and is 95,000 square feet.
"We are very proud that two of the buildings we manage won TOBY Awards in the same year," says Lillibridge Chairman and CEO Todd W. Lillibridge. "Two other properties that we own and manage have gone on to win the TOBY International Award which is the highest honor in commercial real estate. Year after year, our staff continues to show its dedication to excellent property management, to the benefit of our physicians, their patients and our company as a whole."
Both buildings will go on to compete in the next level of TOBY Awards within the Southern Region. The winner of that award will be announced April 24 in Norfolk, Va., and will participate in the annual International BOMA competition in Philadelphia at the end of June.
The TOBY Award was created in 1985 and is the most prestigious and comprehensive evaluation in the commercial real estate profession. Described as the "Academy Award" for office buildings, the TOBY Award recognizes quality in office buildings and excellence in office building management. All facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated during the judging process including tenant relations, community impact and employee programs. Detailed property inspections, floor plans, building standards and photographs are also judged as part of the competition.
