ABOUT PETE BULGARELLI
As a member of the Ventas executive leadership team, Pete is responsible for the Company’s growing integrated Office platform which represents 26% of the Company’s Net Operating Income (NOI) and combines the LHS MOB and university-based research and innovation portfolios. Research and innovation is the Company’s #1 capital priority; a portfolio that has grown by 40% since inception in 2016 and continues to have a robust development pipeline with its exclusive development partner Wexford Science + Technology. LHS is a premier MOB operating company focused on property management, leasing, construction management and advisory services, supporting more than 15,000 physician tenants daily across 32 states.
In this role, Pete leads a team of multidisciplinary professionals nationwide to help providers and institutions thrive in competitive markets - and ensures the execution of the company’s corporate goals.
Prior to joining Ventas and Lillibridge in 2018, Pete was Executive Managing Director Industries at JLL, where he established the Healthcare Solutions Division - integrated services for life sciences, healthcare, government and universities, including academic medical centers. Under his leadership, JLL provided integrated facility management services for healthcare and life science facilities across the country, including many major healthcare systems. He oversaw 1,500 dedicated healthcare professionals who serve 540 hospitals and their ambulatory portfolios across the US. Before JLL, Pete was Marketing Manager at IBM, in sales and support with responsibility for Fortune 500 customers.
A Chicago native, Pete earned his BS in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business. He is the Chicago Board Chair Emeritus for the American Diabetes Association and a member of the Urban Land Institute Healthcare and Life Sciences Council. Pete is a member of the Board of Directors for Pacific Medical Buildings (PMB).
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Pete enjoys golf, biking and water skiing during the summer - snow skiing in the mountains and scuba diving someplace warm during the winter.
